Traveler – 1001 Nights began as an experiment, a conversation between projection and object, between transformation and permanence. Using my own body among others and symbols of travel—such as the suitcase—I reflected on physical and imagined selves. I turned the lens outward and inward at once. These (self)portraits and still lives mark my journey through different cities and stages of life.
The series shows a process of grounding, like a map drawn by someone combining the known and unknown: searching for orientation in the country of loss.
