These large-scale banners were made for an exhibit that marked a year of protests in Iran: Change has not come to an end. They were also printed as an oversized booklet for exhibit-goers. The banners, the research, and the text were done for an exhibit and conference sponsored by Hivos in 2010, which marked a year since the mass protests following the re-election of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as Iran’s president in 2009.
Featured are some of the voices of the protest movement, of politicians and bloggers, tweeters and letter-writers. They include jokes that were shared via mobile phones and face-to-face and capture a bit of the zeitgeist of the time.
